The Committee notes that the Government's report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous direct request, which read as follows:
The Committee notes the action taken for the preparation of statistical forms and their distribution to workplaces, companies, extraction industries and transformation industries. It also notes that following meetings, which took place in November 1987, a number of decisions were taken with a view to compiling the required statistical data and communicating the outcome of the survey.
The Committee therefore hopes that the Government will soon be in a position to supply information concerning statistics of wages and hours of work (Article 1 of the Convention), and statistics of average earnings and hours worked in the private industrial sector (Articles 5, 8 and 12), and thereby giving effect to these Articles of the Convention.
