The Committee notes that the Government’s report has not been received. It hopes that a report will be supplied for examination by the Committee at its next session and that it will contain full information on the matters raised in its 2000 direct request, which read as follows:
The Committee notes the information contained in the Government’s detailed report, including the attachments. It also notes the information supplied by the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) concerning employer responsibility for carrying out the rehabilitation of their employees according to the Act on general insurance and the Act on the work environment. The Committee would appreciate receiving a copy of the survey on the application of the rehabilitation regulations, currently being carried out, once it is completed.
The Committee has noted with interest the information supplied in two reports of the Government covering the periods ending June 1988 and June 1989; including the reply to the previous direct request. It also notes that the Labour Market Ordinance (SFS 1966:368) and the Ordinance (SFS 1979:518) concerning Occupationally Handicapped Persons in State-Controlled Employment have been superseded by new ordinances. Please continue to provide information on new developments made and on the practical application of the Convention (point V of the report form), including in particular measures taken under the new ordinances.
