The Committee notes with deep concern that the Government’s report has not been received. It expects that the next report will contain full information on the matters raised in its previous comments. The Committee informs the Government that, if it has not supplied replies to the points raised by 1 September 2024, then it may proceed with the examination of the application of the Convention on the basis of the information at its disposal at its next session.

The use of this mechanism for choosing representatives of employers and workers for tripartite consultation procedures will continue until the High Labour Council officially starts its work and a proper selection procedure (in accordance with Article 3) is established for partner representation. The Committee requests the Government to provide up-to-date and detailed information on the manner in which representatives of employers and workers are chosen for the purposes of the Convention once the High Labour Council officially starts its work and a proper selection procedure is established for partner representation. The Committee further requests the Government to provide information on the manner in which it is ensured that employers and workers are represented on an equal footing on the tripartite bodies referred to by the Government.
