Allegations

Interference by the authorities in the complainant’s trade union elections in the public health sector of Carabobo State; the National Electoral Council forced the complainant to hold new (partial) elections; the trade union headquarters were seized by force by security forces; individuals on one of the lists of candidates were denied access to trade union headquarters; and the National Guard, in collaboration with activists from the Government’s party, erroneously assigned more than 300 votes to the other list of candidates
