The Committee notes the Government’s report received in September 2004, which indicates that no progress has been made in giving effect to Article 2 of the Convention and that there is still no significant maritime industry in the country. The Committee once again expresses the hope, as it has been doing since its first direct request in 1984, that the Government will be in a position to include information in its next report on the progress made to ensure the full application of the Convention.
