The Committee notes the report provided by the Government for the period ending May 2011. It notes that the Estonian ILO Council was actively involved in the implementation of the procedure of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006), and the Work in Fishing Convention, 2007 (No. 188), as well as on other matters covered by the Convention. The Government indicates that it intends to ratify the MLC, 2006, and Convention No. 188 after the new Seafarers Act is adopted by the Parliament in the beginning of 2012. The Committee invites the Government to continue to report on measures taken with respect to tripartite consultations covered by Article 5(1) of the Convention.
