The Committee notes with interest the information contained in the Government's report to the effect that, under a Ministry of Labour Communication (No. 8001/1990), all rights recognised by the Labour Code for trade unions shall be afforded to representative bodies established explicitly for workers. Hence, the protection accorded to trade union officials is also applicable to elected workers' representatives in Hungary.

The Committee would be grateful if, in its next report, the Government would state whether the above-mentioned Communication has been incorporated into legislation and to provide a copy of the Communication and/or the Statute concerned.
