The Committee notes from the Government's reply to its earlier comments that there is still no significant maritime industry in the country and that the Convention is still only partially applied. However, it notes that the Government is aware of the importance to reconsider and fill the gap in the existing legislation on the subject. With reference to the comments it has been making over a number of years, the Committee once again expresses the hope that the Government will keep the ILO informed on any developments in the situation of the maritime industry, as well as on the measures taken or contemplated in order to give full effect to the provisions of the Convention.
