The Committee notes that an X- ray examination of the lungs is compulsory at the medical examination prior to recruitment of all young workers under 21 years of age for employment underground in mines or in quarries. It requests the Government to indicate the provisions requiring an X-ray of the lungs on the occasion of the initial medical examination and, when regarded as medically necessary, on the occasion of subsequent re-examinations.

Please indicate the provisions regulating the keeping of these records in mines and quarries.
