Noting the indication in the Government’s report received in November 2009 that there has been no change in the application of the provisions of this Convention, the Committee requests the Government to keep the ILO informed of any development in the future.
According to the Government, following a tripartite seminar held in November 2007 in cooperation with the ILO to promote the ratification of Labour Statistics Convention, 1985 (No. 160), a tripartite meeting on the issue had been organized and resulted in the decision to postpone the ratification for further consideration and discussion. The Committee would be grateful if the Government would keep the ILO informed of any development in this regard.
In any case, the Committee would like to draw to the Government’s attention the new international standards concerning the measurement of working time (Resolution I) adopted by the 18th International Conference of Labour Statisticians accessible via ilo.org/global/What_we_do/Statistics/standards/ resolutions/lang--en/docName--WCMS_112455/index.htm, where a larger number of concepts and measures are defined in detail.
